Banding vertically too?Or was it shot vertically?
initially from my windows desktop I dont see much banding issue when i move to my MAC wow you could see it was surprise to see how the banding with PANA lenses it's not the typical banding you see. If this is a sensor the banding you'll see is more like radial or following the light source the banding I am seeing above is vertical or horizontal straight patterns... thats weird it look like the pix where scanned using a bad scanner :-(
I bet firmware will be release soon to correct this....

Wow, unbelievable it occurs only with certain lenses. Has it something to do with the coating?

Ya strange epl1 don't have. So it seems if max out iso3200 will be ok? I have seen it once with 20 at outdoor lighting but I thrash it after haven't been able simulate since though not extensively test it like you. Sounds like the bug with the red dot issue with epl2. Still can get around but can be annoying...
st3v4nt said:On DPreview forum someone test it and say the banding even start to appear from ISO 1600 with 20mm lens, from my test it start appear in ISO 3200 and get worse in ISO 6400, but it still clear in ISO 2500. I do a lot of test in ISO 6400 because that's what the first OM-D owner that found the problem use as settings. Anyway I post my finding in mu-43 forum and the admin in that forum already notify his contact in Panasonic and Olympus regarding the problem. He will update the thread if there's an update. In the meantime I guess all we can do is to avoid using 20 and OM-D in that setting.
anyone tried using PL 25mm f1.4 if banding will show?
