The crystallisation of the prowess of X-Trans III with the full versatility of the Fujion X-mount interchangeable lens in the smallest footprint, Fujifilm is proud to announce the X-T20 today in Tokyo on the 19th of Jan 2017.

Very nice camera - clean and simple. Power of the XT2 (4k, etc) at a lower price.

Now if only the left hand dial was the iso dial instead of those silly functions :P

this will be cheaper than X-T2 ?

Local pricing and availability haven’t been announced yet, but DPReview reports that the X-T20 will be available in the US in late February. The body alone will cost US$900, US$1,000 with the 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS kit lens, or US$1,200 with the 18-55mm f/2.8-4 OIS kit lens.

its definitely going to be cheaper than X-T2, the X-T20 is a 'smaller bro' in the product placement chart with the main differentiating factors being WR, highest mechanical shutter speeds and some minor ones. However they share the same sensor and processor, aka - IQ will be the same.

Definitely interested in getting this. I currently have X-A1 + 27mm f/2.8 pancake lens. Does anyone have any experience shooting the 27mm on the X-T20?

I shot 27mm on xt10. No issues ..I am fine with the focusing ...but individual tolerance depends on what he or she shoots ...so to each his own.

In fact I usual.y put it to zone focus so focus is instant

Which shops carry fujifilm xt20?

Fujifilm is selling at the IT show $1699 with the 16-50, come with a 16gb card and leather case. What did the Nuphoto kit come with? I am thinking of getting the 18-55 kit over the 16-50 kit.

I got my xt20 at Alan photo at a good price better than at IT show. Just for sharing, I think the photo shops do not know that you can redeem the IT show extra freebie (leather handgrip) even if u did not purchase from the IT show. (The older march promo does not include it). It's a no brainer that you'll get a better deal outside the it show, then.

Any issues with buying from Japan?

I'm in Tokyo now and the x-t20 with 18-55 is about 132k yen.

You can get this with kit lens tax free at Map Camera price at ¥119,686 in Tokyo

hi,

do note that there is no warranty coverage if u get the set from Japan. So long as u don mind this, i will say that's a pretty good deal.

Thank you for the advice!

I went to MapCamera last night and bought it. Using it today.. Good quality pics. Easy to use. Love the size but wish the hand grip was larger.

Battery life is something to be desired.. Went to BIC Camera just now to buy an extra battery. Forgot to bring my passport and was about to walk out when the salesman beckoned me back and gave me (close to) tax free pricing without producing my passport.

Wanted something more portable and smaller than my Canon 5d3 as that thing is impossible to use properly especially when I have to take care of a 2 yr old at the same time. I think the X-T20 is perfect for a DSLR replacement.

I've been away from CS shooting for quite some time. Not sure exactly how long, maybe more than 11 years. Has always been a nikon user, but decided to re-ignite the fun in photography with the XT20. Hope to join up with the users of this group in time to come.

Personally I prefer the grip and feel of the X2 (and also its WR features), but the steeper price and its larger body size may not be something I'd like to carry around leisurely and on holiday trips.

Went to TK Photo earlier, prices there quite competitive for the body and additional lens (cheaper when you pay cash/nets). But since they don't have the silver body i requested, got to hang on a few days before new stocks arrive.

I don't personally find Xt2 too big. I feel that it is probaby the right size and more balance then xt1 when use with some lens. I do agree with you on the price that xt20 is price very attractive.

Personally I got a local set xt2 for abt 1900 last DEC brand new local warranty but dont have those free gift other then extra original battery. So that 500 extra is the premium I dont mind paying for xt2 compare to xt20.

Thanks bro. It's exciting to be back. Guess I got a lot of catching up and learning to do with the new system. Today went to MSColor to get the goods from Ivan and then saw Florence (the lady boss) whom I purchased camera from her more than 10 years ago. I'm glad to be back there once again.
