[Numnumball - ** Marina Barage Sunrise 24 Sep 2010 **

bryan,

i like the light in #1, but i must say that i immensely dislike this scene, because of all the floating nonsense in the water. wish it could be taken away, but i think it is there for maintenance/operational purposes possibly...

i thought #3, #6 and #7 showed more potential here. i'm not a fan of all the bridge photos where you were on the bridge, because it's just not a very appealing scene... taking aesthetics into consideration.

of these 3 i like #3 the most, though definitely stitching another photo below (vertorama of sorts) would give a more complete railing at the bottom and improve the composition significantly.

for #9, taking one step back or two would have given a complete base of the statue. either that or taking one step forward. right now it does give the impression that it is a mistake , that you didn't notice that the base was cropped off abruptly.

cheers.

Thanks WK for ur comments, just got back home..

i feel the same for 1. And the foggy BG in the SG flyer make things worse..

Noted on #3, though i long heard of vertorama but yet to try my hands on it.. Will do so oneday. :)

And #8 and #9 got edge of the sculpture cropped off which is totally my bad for failing to notice.. Actually for #9 i should have cropped off the base completely or shd not at all..

Cheers buddy

wah bro, outpro liao straightaway go for sunrise shoot ah? Steady  :bsmilie:

I like #7, #8 and #9, though for #7 I personally would have tried not to clip the structure at the middle right..

Haaa.. beh tahan liao mah..

Thanks, are u referring to #8 instead?

yes, that would be the right name, i can never remember it.

as far as possible i try to avoid this (e.g. at helix bridge it is also possible), but sometimes (as in this case here) when there is a compelling reason, since being parallel here would, as you say, prevent you from including the elements on the right... it is alright.

Yeah Wk. Ideally is to avoid.. :)
