Hi guys, was wondering why is this lens always no stock through out the retailers as well as the Leica boutique? Is the production very slow and not enough for the demand?or Leica produce them in very limited quantity?or it's too popular for Leica user till it's not enough on the market even at it's price?

i was just at the Leica concept shop at raffles arcade 2 days ago. Thought i saw one there. u can try there.

Lol before u buy make sure u know how to focus at f0.95.

Imho u should consider 0.95 only after u feel u can handle nokton 1.1.

Always available if you want to hunt it down. There is a price for anything ;)

In the last 6 months, I have been offered the lens twice. So supplies are coming into Singapore. Royale With Cheese is right. It will be available if you are ready to pull the trigger. :)

Not a hard lens to find, a 50 Summilux is rarer if you ask me.

Thanks for all the reply sir.wallet not deep enough for the noc at the moment:)

Sean Reid Just did a long review/comparison on the
Leica Noc f1, 0.95 and VC1.1
Has 70+ actual illustration and scientific test
1 year subscription 40+ sgd is worth looking @

Vc nokton 1.1 is one tenth the cost of noct0.95 i cannot justify noct. If i ever want such speed i will only get nokton.

well, there's still the (investment grade ) canon 50/0.95...

canon tv 0.95 is sibeh ex also lei. good piece is close to noct also rite?

nokton 1.1 is still value for money. The main thing is look at nokton 1.1 before looking at all the expensive stuff. nokton 1.1 might surprise you when you actually use it. Dun read so much abt the reviews (comparing noct and nokton). actually try the nokton yourself. might be pleasantly surprised.

certainly not cheap but if you're lucky, probably can get it for less than S$3k i think

Or maybe the Schneider 50/0.95? that's probably comparable in price to Nokton 1.1...

Of course if patience is not a virtue or worried about dodgy workmanship, there's usually new ex stock for nokton 1.1 whereas the above 2 (or 3 if noct included) may take months to find? :sweatsm:

that's certainly very true... i do think a lot of people are put off by the negative review on the nokton 1.1 but still, this is one hell of a super fast lens and I concur its fantastic value for money!

please PM me your source who has been offering you not once but twice... i have been waiting months on ends.. of course not at ridiculous price above list.

The only downside to using this lens on Leica or M/LTM mount is that the lens is "destroyed" and cannot be used again in its original state. If only we can just use an adapter without having to "destroy" the lens.
For this reason, I will not get another Canon50f0.95;)

key word here is the "another", gommy, hehe

Used to own one converted to Visoflex mount by DAG. Always felt it was a little too drastic to do that. Sold it a while ago and will not buy another. Optically similar to its little brother, Canon50f1.2Ltm, so rather just use the latter.:)

yeah, i hold benny's canon 0.95, it was too big for walk around lenses...the f1.2 is more balanced on rf system
