well, its possible. my friend used to tied his monopod on the railing and used it as a 1-legged tripod. :bsmilie:
I like the sound of that! Innovative

Why would you want to bring a penknife to NDP to begin with??
haha. yah. that's what i do now. shooting videos instead. anyway, maybe we should all just enjoy watching the fireworks insteadShoot video lor, i heard stories ppl shooting by the bridge like whole cam with tripod drop into Singapore river bcos some foreign workers trip over the legs of the tripod. :bsmilie:
Nowadays got ISO 1.2 billion, so tripod quite redundant.
No tripod allowed on bridge means no room for creativity? That's what you called in the box... If you can think out of the box then you would have been able to find other (maybe even better) shooting locations.
this sort of statement can give people hardcore XXX ideas.next you will hear the aux tell u "no tying of anything to the public property please".. hahahaha
Can't believe this. The atreos security people just told everyone to remove tripods on the esplanade bridge. Their reason of doing so, is because the bridge will be crowded. WTF?!
No wonder Singapore can never excel in art. They should just ban photography at marina today. Zzz
well i guess some people bring something with them everyday... it is habit... i guess the penknife comes in handy sometimes ...

for your info, from 8pm, car traffic was closed at the bridge. more lanes were progressively opened as the crowds came in. eventually, the entire bridge was opened, except for one lane which was closed for emergency use.Hmm... if TS start on this topic wonder there will be be rants about photography enthusiasts and their tripods / ladders causing obstruction else where in other forums :bsmilie:
The Esplanade bridge foot way isn't that wide after all, I see nothing wrong in not allowing tripods on the bridge, is for the sake of general public interest.![]()
cos singapore has one of the most ridiculous rules around. with this, how can anyone think out of the box? duhz.
only if one is a woodblock :sweatsm:Strap the camera on the head, keep very still, use a cable release......... maybe it will work ;p
Then they'll say, no woodblock allowed :bsmilie::bsmilie:only if one is a woodblock :sweatsm:
