But will I need a cable to link the External Speedlight to the Camera ? Or is it include as part of the External Speedlight package. Any other 3rd party Speedlights that can be used ? I quite new to all these stuff.

F Fella New Member Jun 23, 2003 #5 No need cable. Communicate with the cam via it's hotshoe. 3rd party, I don't think are call "speedlight" liao. 50dx is pretty weak, and doesn't run on aa batteries.

H horizoner Deregistered Jun 23, 2003 #8 I m using SB 22s with 5700 ... it uses 4 AA batt and the flash head can be turned. about $200 if i rem correctly i feel no point buying such a high end flash for 5700 since the cam can't make full use of the features.
