Hi,
I'm getting really confused with so many explanations and suggestion. The uncle in CP recommend me to get the Manfrotto Hexagonal Plate Aaptor 225. He said this plate got more holding power onto my camera. Then another uncle said that I should change my tripod's head because the 141RC is not strong enough for my camera setup. But I thought, logically, it should be the quick release plate that's the problem? My camera sort of lip form the plate, not that the whole tripod topple.
Please advice, thanks in advice.

Anyone use the Manfrotto Hexagonal Plate Aaptor 225 on a Manfrotto 141RC head ?:dunno:

I think the best solution to your problem is to use a hex plate couple with suhaimig's suggestion to add a custom made stopper. Hex plates are quite large and have the screw mount for you to add the stopper. :)

The Hex plates are by far and away the best solution for the manfotto heads short of fitting a permanent solution like an Arca QR to a plate (via nuts and bolts).

Probably the most efficient answer is to build a stop on to a plate, either an existing plate, or a Hex Plate. The stop is not pretty but they work very well.

A brief how to.

Mount your camera and then get some 12mm x 1.5mm right angle aluminum (50mm lengths or so).. a couple of 3.2mm (1/8th) pop rivets and a 1/8th drill.

Mark up the aluminum so it fits flush against the camera body, cut to the right length and then drill the aluminum with 2 holes. with the camera still on the plate, reposition the aluminum on the plate and mark on the hex plate where to drill the holes. Drill and rivet .. Instant non rotating plate :)

Can you show me a picture of the Manfrotto 352RC head? Tried searching the Manfrotto internet website but couldn't find it. Thanks.
Rgds

It has been discontinued, that's why you can't find it.

A quick search using Google turns up the following. Mine plate uses a rubber mat instead of the cork one you see here. Cork ones are more liable to slip, or so I am told.

You might want to check up on the Elbow Bracket. The catch is you will still require a head that uses a hexagaonal plate.

Sorry can't get hold of the URL to paste here, try looking for it in the Hexagonal Plates Section on Manfrotto's Website.
