Nikon D70 Available... !!

Good for you sianz. How did your S.H.E. pics come out? I'm looking to getting rid of my A1 too, but only when the Digital Maxxum comes out. Nothing beats having IS in a camera body.

still got some items waiting to get before i can get the sum to get the cam... but all already got buys!

Well looks like everyone is starting to abandon their D100, 10D, D60 just for this. Good time to pick up those 2nd hand Dslrs now.

For Canon DSLR users, nah, not likely. Most of them have already invested quite a bit into the system so most prolly will not want to switch systems (there may be a few exceptions to the rule though.) The D70 is targeted mainly to those who do not own DSLR yet and is looking to purchase one. For existing D100 owners, I think most are content with what they have and if they wanna sell their D100, it would be to move up to perhaps a D2h or maybe even a D2x (if its coming out).

I don't think D100 users will abandon theirs, Nikon has made very clear distinction that these two are different cameras For the Nikon users, they'll understand the differences between the two and the strengths between the two

Btw, even Canon owners can down a Nikon SLR now! Own both systems, then no need to flame bait which is better and worry on jumping ship!

I guess D100 has a sturdier body and well the lack of vertical grip for D70 kinda of puts me off..

Yep, it has a nicey HB-32 but has MADE IN THAILAND imprinted, mount it the other way to hide it :<

guys, the Nikon kit is actually CHEAPER in singapore than here in US, which is amazing, because the Canon 300D was more expensive in singapore, and the other DSLRs I've seen back in singapore are more expensive than the prices in New york (where I am)
I already asked a friend to buy me a nikon kit and bring it over when he's visiting next week,very excited.

Probably Singapore is nearer to thailand than USA hence the lower transport cost hence lower price for kit..kekke
