Nikon compact cameras

wat's the price for the P5100? G9 is like $799.

some of the models are quite good. P5100, P60, P80. the pro models.
even the S series are quite sleek and nice.

nikon compact sux. and i'm using P60. frankly, i expected it to lose to canon already, but u really have to try it to know:nono:

i got it online from adorama and it's much cheaper than here in SG. considering the price diff between p60 and canon G9, i ended up with P60, ikelite housing and ikelite strobe.

it didn't cost much more than the G9 with canon housing, and cost less than g9 with ikelite. more importantly, canon housing for G9 was out of stock!!! i saw the G9 in action with canon housing (no strobe), pictures were very very nice!

i'm hoping to make up the difference in picture quality with the strobe.

i find the P60 has a strong yellowish cast, lousy with white balance and tends to underexpose. hopefully underwater the performance is ok ;p

here i'm referring to the lower ranges in Nikon compact, slim how do those meet up to b?

I hope you're just getting the model number mixed up or your idea of compact has to be really compact... ;p

o no! so sory got the model mied up- how much did u pay for ur camera? my compact cameras are Sony and Olympus...have never tried Fuji.

Hehehe... I think you must have thought it was the S100FS instead. I paid $499 for it at MS. ;p

Try the Coolpix P50 - small, cheap at <$200 (from Amazon) and WA. Doesnt get as much use as my F31fd though.. color loses out.

thanks for advice-learn alot from u all. anyway those folks that ask me for advice bought a panasonic in the end:cry: dunno y but i never like panasonic color- sure some against that-it's jus an opinion personal but jus wan to know u really dun mine buying via internet? espacially cam stuff-lenses etc. same uh?

whats wrong with buying camera stuff over the internet?? only prob i see is to make sure the AC power adaptor works for singapore and who you are buying from is someone you trust.
