Nope... 24-120VR is not my type of lens... in fact I never like it in the first place... too soft of me and I personally find the pic 'sucks'... pardon me for my rudeness, especially to those who own this lens here

rtbh, i think that the kit lens is an nice lens, but the 24-120 is great. (or greater?) It can be a little soft below f/5.6, so you have to be careful. Optical quality is Nikon-class, and build quality is good. Flare is controlled, and VR and AF-S both work wonders.

Hi... Just like to ask... When you say that it can be soft below f/5.6, does it mean that it get soft at f-stop numbers smaller than 5.6?? Thanks...

I mean that at f/5.6, f/5, f/4.5, f/4, f/3.5. Which means below f/5.6 in numerical value. Or, at larger apertures. Is this explanation better?
