Night Panorama

If you guys don't mind I post a pixel peeping picture using the NEX-3 sweep mode.
It is as what kei1309 has mentioned, it is shot a bit after 7pm while chasing the sunset.
I will try to borrow my friend's NEX-3 to tryout the lotus flower one of these days. :)

A tad underexposed but not too bad at all! Like the framing.

I have updated my thread with 2 more pictures。 More or less shooting the same stuff but testing out pano using the sigma 1020 Sony mount.

hi. hi hi. please read carefully. TS is using the A700. not everyone uses the A55 or A33. hence, why i said "shoot in RAW"

btw, a faster lens won't help in sweep panorama. there is a limit to how slow the shutter can go for the sweep panorama. even if you're using the 35mm 1.4G, it won't help. in a dim situation, your shutter still fires off fairly quickly in succession. do you think you'll get a good exposure?

well you were replying the comment about pano not working well at night =p

xD there were some who already posted them up. no doubt, you still can get a good exposure around 7pm... but as it gets darker....

I'm guessing most people(using NEX) would use the f2.8 pancake for the night pano... slightly faster lens would help... and usually if it gets too dark the camera will automatically up the ISO... max shutter speed for sweep pano is 1/60...

I used to use a NEX-5 before I um... lost it =( left it on a bus and someone koped it...
so if anyone sees a person using a silver NEX-5 with a white leather strap help me catch okay? haha

Got an a55 to replace it anyway...

you mentioned both manual stitching and sweep panorama. since TS mentioned he's using the A700........

oh yes. it's faster. but the NEX has a limit for the ISO usage: ISO1600.

look at lonewolff's picture and tell me it's very well exposed in the background. be my guest and try it at 9pm at night. and by night i mean let's see... somewhere where it's not that bright. you'll see the difference.

Have to agree with you.
The Nex pano works like a charm in bright daylight but when night falls, it's another story especially in places with a very contrasty environment.
Will tryout if my friend happens to bring her Nex out again.
