Newbie question - Focusing ring in metres or feet?

I recently acquired a Voigtlander Vito B with the colour-skopar lens. On the focusing ring, it says 'm' and measurements start from 1, 1.1, etc. However, every guide to the Vito B that I've read says focusing is in feet. Could someone enlighten me on whether it's meant to be in metres, feet, or if there are two variations? Thanks

There are probably variations but just follow the lens scale. You will do well.
