Hi all,

I received this camera as a gift. This is the first time I am using a rangefinder and I am halfway through the first roll. Here are a few questions I have:

1) Where can I get the PX32, E164 mercury batteries or equivalent substitutes for the camera in Singapore?
2) Can I use 4 LR44 batteries instead and what are the results?
2) The camera has no batteries now. Can I set to flash syncho mode of 1/30s and use in meterless manual?
3) The viewfinder has a bluish colour cast. Is this normal or due to age?

The online manual for the camera can be seen here :

Thanks.

First of all, gotta welcome you to the fabulous world of Yashica RF! I've a GSN myself and have been totally blown away by it.

Maybe you can consider posting these questions at rangefinderforum.com? They have an enthusiastic group of Yashica RF users that will be able to answer them.

Thanks for your responses. Tried LR44 batteries. The metering appears to be working, with different shutter speeds at various ISOs and apertures. Both LEDs on top light up at the same time.

Pad of death problem likely. You could
1. Fix it yourself
2. Send it to a camera shop to fix
3. Contact me
