New photographer wanting to learn on the job..models wanted.

Ok I am new to photography and have only done a few private shoots in Sg and Bintan and I am hoping to increase the size of my portfolio.

I am not interested I what I deem as Boring photo shoots. Sitting in some studio to me is dull. Staging every single shot to achieve the "perfect shot" to me is boring. I like people with open minds and willing to think outside the box and outside the "little red dot". I prefer fun in my shoots not static boredom.

I am not interested in doing much locally in Sg as I feel there just is not much in the way of good locations. My best shoots I ever done were in Bintan so I plan to do the next few there as well. Plus having 20 or 30 "ah peks" watching me shoot a good model is just not my thing.

I am also not interested in "group" shoots as I have my own way of shooting and would be annoyed at having others in my way.

I like models to also have their input into a shoot.

I am looking for people interested in bolstering their portfolios and having fun at the same time.

Types of shooting -
-Lingerie
-Bikini
-Street wear (but no boring stuff)
-Evening wear

Preferred model -
-Any race
-Tan healthy skin
-Experience ok but not necessary
-Open minded model

My previous shoots I went shopping with the models over a period of a few weeks and e both chose outfits we could agree on and how it would be worn(I pay for clothing but after the shoot the model keeps clothing). We also discussed any other issues about the shoot and any concerns. On the actual shoot we went to Bintan overnight and shot during that 2 day period. I pay for lodging, food and drinks etc.

well. i'm not here to comment on the nature of this job, but i'm rather worried. shooting overseas for tfcds isnt something to joke abt. as a photographer, i'll like to warn the possibility of it being quite dangereous. perhaps ts might wanna clarify abt his proposition.
i'm judging his reliability based on his post count and the join date. since i pretty much have nothing else to compare to.

to keep it short, i'm worried for any potential models that may take up ur proposition. u might wanna leave ur phone number here or something for safety. just my opinions. no offence intented.

Since you have done it before, it might be good for the TS to offer some references here, so potential models can get some sort of reassurance.

Also TS, you need to list what are renumeration you are offering, as well as an indication of how much of the trip will be sponsored by you, namely:

- Hotels (how many stars, model each get a single room I presume?)
- Tickets for boat rides?
- All transportation and transfer costs?
- Paying for food? What kind of food?
- Arrangement for MUA?

You ask models to be open-minded, but you have to assure them that you are professional in what you do as well. So far all I hear are fluff, and there is no real indication that you actually have any planning done for these shoots. Which may cause most of the readers of your post to have the impression that your motives are anything but pure.

anyway im online 24/7 and this post is really attracts me...and i seldom reply / post .. cos is the first time i ever saw a oversea shoot is a TFCD ? or rather call it paid-shoot... im been shooting for 6 years and i dun see the need to the extreme pay for oversea blah blah expenses:dunno:... if you are really new to photography? sg is a good place to start off with so many nice and beautiful venue ald. or else you looking for something else.... Think twice before you post TS.

Personally if the mods want to talk to me that is fine with me but I am not going to bother putting the shoots I have done on display as their is such a thing called confidentiality between myself and the ladies I have shot before.

I am not here to show off, I am here to learn and ENJOY my hobby of photography. IF someone is interested in talking to my previous models I can readily give them the contact information. But I am not going to go just handing out personal or confidential information to people I do not know. I am not bothering to hide anything from potential models. What I do hide from is all the perverts out there who simply want to skim forums looking at girls pics and there are reasons some of the girls I shoot may not want their pics displayed for any perverts which may even be on this thread or forum.

As for those who do not have any faith in my type of shoots or are not interested in my type of shoots well that is your issue not mine. I am not here to please everyone. I am here to find models who are not into those boring 6 men to one girl shoots I see all over places like Sentosa or Chinese Gardens etc. Singapore is just plain boring to shoot. No clear sea water to shoot. No good resorts without perverts everywhere. Go do a shoot arond Singapore and you will end up with chinamen or banglas all over you just oggling the girls..its disgusting and NOT photography.

I find alot of condescending people here who seem to have alot of disgusting thoughts instead of creativity. Well that is up to you.

If the mods feel my post is not up to your "standard" then feel free to delete it and go back to thinking your disgusting thoughts about photo shoots.

Clearly Singaporeans are not ready to embrace creativity or open minded attitudes if this is how you all react.

IF you THINK you will clearly understand that firstly any model can ask to meet me and SEE my small portfolio for herself. Secondly any model can say NO to the terms of the shoot or location etc. Thirdly any model can inform people where she is going and duration of shoot etc. I can go on and on about how SAFE the models could be and would be but clearly I see nothing but paranoia from a FEW posters on this forum. I see the same names popping up condemning others over and over. You know who you are.

Look..if you guys are jealous of other peoples way of shooting or ideas then that is your personal problem but for you to ATTACK someones way of dong a photo shoot is just wrong morally and ethically.I find it completely tasteless and disgusting that a person can not be HONEST about what he likes to do in a shoot without being attacked.
