New Pany WXF991/VX981 does voodoo with 4K!

As expected CES 2016 is bringing on a whole slew of 4K cameras but Panasonic has up the ante by introducing new tricks to fully harness the power of 4K and in-camera as well!
The most useful party trick is Auto-Tracking: Face detect tracks a moving subject in a wide 4K shot and delivers a cropped HD clip in camera! Feature available in WXF991 (with EVF!) and VX981.

The Pany has definitely more tricks up its sleeves.
But the Sony has a better built, longer battery life and XLR options.
You can count on the Sony AX55 to be here April. Pany could be August.

RRP for HC-WXF 990 is S$1999. Camcorder already in stock. Pricey compared to USD999 in the USA. Hopefully street price here will not exceed $1.6k

AX55 not coming to SG. Only AXP55 (with projector) RRP SGD2200.
Will now hold out for NAB2016. Likely to see a pro version with proper XLR and at least a mini HDMI. micro HDMI SUCKS.
Pricing not making sense compared to NX100.
