The new firmware 1.201 for the Leica M8 is out. Have updated my camera but no chance yet to do some tests yet. According to Leica's writeup, there is improvement to 'auto colour balance'.

In the previous updates, most times, the color is out. Now, most times, the color is correct.

Good to hear that they have finally resolve the WB issue.

I'm quite pleased with the new update too, prior to the update, AWB was not just inaccurate, it was terribly inconsistent as well - squeeze off 3 frames of the same scene, WB can be different for each of them, used to put just Daylight setting for all the exposure ( I shoot raw) and adjust later. Glad they fixed the problem in time for CNY and my next assignment
