At USD$3k ... I wonder if its really magic ... 2.5K Raw & SSD recording ... But it would be terrible in low light due to the ultra small sensor ... Smaller than micro 4/3 i heard ...

Love the Dynamic Range Stretch but with the smaller sensor, and the lack of proprietary lens, getting fast lenses on the wide side could be a problem. Still for $3K...

everyone talks about large sensor, etc...but the winner here with the BMD camera will be the recording codec... You can have super good front end imager, but if the recording codec sucks, like the H264 or AVCHD from DSLRs & the likes of AF102, FS100, etc... I think this cam may be quite a winner in terms of price range.

Let's see how it develops...

Nope....even preorders have been back logged till Oct period unfortunately.... Ordered mine last week at BCA 2012, and was told it'll only arrive in Oct period if no further delays.

Do you mind sharing how much you paid for it in SGD equivalent?

Check with BMD's local authorised dealers.
Most dealers should be offering the same US$2995, convert to SGD on current exchange rate & add GST.

There are 3rd party solution for the battery already so no issue =) Definately needs some rigging, even cams like the FS700 and C300 need rigging so no diff for me. I would be really interested to check out how the codec does in Davinci. Last week's BCA demo at Davinci is very impressive..
