Anyone know whats the price????

Here is part 1 of the review by Erwin Puts,

According to him, optically it is the same as the current 35'Lux-Asph, except it has a floating element for better performance between 1-4 meters as well as reducing the focus shift.

If you are shooting beyond this range, the performance is almost the same. I will be keeping my current 35mm 'Lux-Asph.

oh no! no chrome!

time for the 50 summicron revamp!

Just curious why only 35Lux seems to have more focus shift problems? Or is this just the first focal length that Leica will introduce a floating element?

Let's hope they don't keep on adding "floating elements" to their prices...it's so high already...

That is why they call "floating" ...price also floating in the air...:bsmilie:

The Summilux 50/1.4ASPH and the new Noctilux 50/0.95ASPH have floating elements.

I think the Summicron 90/2ASPH also has a floating element so the new Summilux 35 is definitely not the first one with it.

The Summicron and Summarit lenses do not need a floating element since focus is less critical at f2 or f2.5 compare to f1.4 for the Summilux lenses.

But at the same time today I got a sms from local Leica dealer all Leica products going to have a price hike! Thought Euro is dropping!? Ouch!

Can you tell me more about the price hike in Singapore.

Not the 90AA. The 75AA has a floating element. So does the 21 and 24 Lux.

Thanks for the clarification, I knew I should not have comment since I wasn't sure of my statement!;)
