New formating for threads a little messy

I find the new formating adopted for threads follow-up is a little messy. It creates too many sub-directories. Would prefer to have the latest thread on top.

Sorry, dun get what you mean by "new formatting". Nothing has changed recently. In case you are referring to the thread view, click on "Display Modes" near the top right of this thread and select alternate Modes.
