Use FCP 7 for paid jobs now and use X for personal projects while waiting for it to stabilize maybe after 5-6 months.

hmmm... maybe i should just stick to my FCP 7 for now... even's Premier pro's ability to handle dslr footage natively doesn't work as good as it sounds, or at least so i've heard from a friend who tried it. he's both FCP and premier cs5 and shoots with a 7d. for now, i'd stick to my mpegstreamclip and FCP 7 thanks!

Hi guys... I think maybe most of you already know this but since I couldn't find it here.. thought I'd just share something I stumbled upon while taking a break from editing Hehehe! It seems Apple has done some good things to FCP X

FCP X Upgraded to 10.0.3 - multicam editing returns! at DVinfo.net

Many other issues attended to and in the pipeline kind of makes me re-think about this FCP X.. hmmm

Basically, it will have everything FCP 7 has sooner or later cause FCP7 is cut already.

Everyone has to move over within the next 1 year or risk getting left behind unless you switch system entirely.

one question guys, how do you buy fcp pro x? i understand it must be through itunes, but i dont have any US account, so how do i pay?


and at itunes i saw it says shipping is between 3 to 5 days..i thought after payment its a direct download?

no need us account ley.. sg account also can.. buy thru app store using visa/mastercard.. then direct download.. if you want the physical package go to the local distributor.

oh ok, Amarzaki do you buy from apple store or apple store sg? sg store state the price to be 398 bucks sgd. tio bo? and it says shipping??!!! neevr say download direct...so confused.

if i go to to apple store it will prompt me to have apple id and if not to create one...quite a few steps just to buy.

alamak at the end even the sg store still need to create apple id account....reason why i hestitae to craete one cos if i i put sg address it means i cant buy apps from us store in future right? not sure as i read from online forums. pai seh am new to apps buying so a bit confused...thks bros!

You can create multiple accounts ... If you have one sg apple id, you can also get one US apple id ... That part u can google to find out how ppl do it.

How to update my fcx 10.0.0 to 10.0.3 without going thru apple store. The software was given with my friend's apple id now I can't upgrade as he's not contactable.
