A short film i did couple of weeks back. Shot within a day.

Shot with Sony V1P and D600.

The V1P is quite old, still on a tape recording format. We had to use external HDD which makes it more heavy. The v1p is impossible in low light situations. Even in the bedroom scene (first scene), where it is brightly lit up with 4 light sources, noise and grain can obviously be seen. The D600 performed quite well during the under bridge shoot. Where the only light source is 2 small LEDs and a small fire. The night scene was shot with the D600, ISO 3200 - 4000.

The most difficult scene would be at night. We were under this crossover road near buona vista (where the tracks used to be). There were no street lights filling into the place. It was hot, kind of smelly, mosquitoes and sometimes mices crawling around. We only had 2 small LED lights as we do not have a generator to use stronger lighting systems.

We had to resort to setting up a fire which was a difficult task as well considering the resource to burn were limited. The fire eventually became smaller and smaller, making it harder for us to shoot.

The talents and crew were very patient, we started shooting from 10am to 12 midnight. Running around to shoot various places. We managed to finish the shoot with no missing shots.

Any critiques and comments welcomed!
