Somehow I stumbled into texture heaven, have been looking for this "look" for a long time finally found it.
Roll-653-654-neopan 400 at iso400 developed in d76 in 1+3dilution for 8mins at 30C
Leica CL + Canon 50/1.9 lens
the actual image looks better than the resized one here.
you can download the ori pix here: http://retro2.ms11.net/image-651o.tif
to describe it, it is very grainy, very crisp and sharp.
I want the image to look more like an art
made up of zillions of minute dots like its made by pen and ink.
so i hope to replicate this effect, thinking through the possibilities:
a. neopan + d76 combination is definitely the baseline
b. the old lens contributed to the look especially when shot wide-open
here is another example: http://retro2.ms11.net/texture.jpg
? not sure if the 1+3 dilution contributed.
? not sure if the overdevelopment contributed
to be investigated.....
