Sorry guys.

I placed a order on Wed on the Lomography website and it was indicated there was enough stocks and full payment was made on the website through paypal for 100 rolls totalling HKD5700 ( abt S$1k ).

However, I rec'd a email today stating there is not enough stocks hence they will be refunding me in full as they cannot commit how many stocks they can get.

I will probably suffer some exchange differences from it. Its my loss.

I have also enquired with the other Japanese website and they have said they will order on demand, claiming should have stock. However I would not want to suffer losses again in the event his supplier cannot give him so much stocks and he has to do the same refund.

Hope everyone understands the situation. Hence please treat the order as closed. You would have to source for your own stocks.

first, big thanks to dacteo for volunteering to organize this. coordinating such a mass order is not trivial.

second, pls note that such mass orders are usually not allowed in the sub forums, but should be conducted in the mass order section. this thread was allowed with special permission, so pls don't think that this thread has set a precedence for a free pass for anyone to setup mass orders in the sub forums.

lastly, dacteo - you can write into your bank credit card department to dispute the charge - the net of the purchase and return due to the difference in forex buy and sell prices. note to them that this was due to the merchant's error by accepting the transaction, but then returning due to lack of stock (provide the evidence). In this case, you should not be penalize in the transaction. but it does take a long time, 3mths+ if i remember correctly, for the bank will do their investigation.
