May I learn from you on your single flash setup?

I really can't get the right diffuser material to go with my SB-800, and shadows are still bad with it.

May I ask if you use any flash bracket, and how the flash could be projected so evenly to bring out the details?

You see my avatar shot, I used 270ex flash but instead of a flat diffuser, choose one that is concaved outward. At least it acts like a diffuser box giving even distribution of light on the subject. Go look for some instant noodle bowl materials.
