need videographer urgently

hi all i urgently need a videographer to cover my buddie,
have to knock off for duty *last minute*.
You takeover from 6pm onward till night around 11pm....a malay wedding.

my friend got paid $150 for like 3hrs of shooting dog events. that was little. malay weddings costs lesser? why would you say that? and why would chinese weddings cost so much then?

Then you should charge higher next time
Cost of main & backup camera rental is already $150.
transport ? Tapes ? your overheads ? your videographer's salary ?

$10 per hr for a videographer it sound to low than. As no editing $400 that they follow market price. Is just like you go Sim Lim Sq to buy a PC or DIY. Each shop is round up about a few dollars. A videographer without edit just film is round up $400 or more if the videographer is a good 1. Small cam big cam count on price. I know a lot of videographer had big big good cam. They also want to earn more a bit.

Videographer only 45% Photographer 88% on market. So which is hard to get or easy to take over the job.

For $10 per hr, i would rather stay at home and sleep. I normally pay my back up crew or videographer $25 - $50 per hr. I supplied the tapes, cam and lighting. He just need to be there only without bringing any equipment. I even pay my crew $50 just to man the projector for that 10 mins showing of montage during dinner! From my own experience, it pays to give more to your people even though it hurts your pocket because when you really need someone to do a last minute job, they wont let you down. My friends never ask me how much i will pay them because they knew i will pay according to their worth and sometimes more. You must take care of them and they will willingly do a good job. I rarely have any problem looking for a last minute videographer. As they say, pay peanut and you got monkey.
