This is a multi-focal lengths (28, 35, 50, 85, 135mm) ViewFinder. Non-Leica (either Russian or Zeiss, if Zeiss, worth some $$)

pic2 This is the "eyes" to be used with the Dual-Range (DR) Summicron 50mm lens. worth $100.

This is a 28mm View Finder by Kobulux (or Avedon) value: $50

pic4 - pic4&5 are supposed to be assembled into one unit, which is the Leica Visoflex reflect housing. This turns a Leica M camera into an SLR (sort of). value $100 ~ S150.

Hope this helps. (note: these are old stuff that are not really rare but could still be functional. don't listen to those "shops" and sell to them at $20. Learn how to use them :>)) Apparently, your father was a Leica M user.

(And NO, I'm not from those "shops", but I know them inside out)

it would be good if u still have the lens that matches the "eyes" as those are calibrated against one another. a case of the whole being worth more than the sum of the parts...

Thank cocoa for your information yes my dad was a camera lover he collected several leica M camera and R camera and other brand camera with a some acessories and lense.

But some of the lense had kept in the dry cabinet for too long and it look cloudy and some camera body leather start to peel off, anyway i doubt it can fetch a good price. Another question does leica come with screw mount lense which he had several which i do not know how to mount on the camera and one more wide angle lense which unable to focus through the view finder on the M camera just wonder how to forcus.

Thank szekiat what do you mean there are calibrate to each other can you elaborate sorry as i am nut in all this stuff.

Yes, Leitz used screw mount lenses (39mm) before the M-series cameras, ie. prior to 1954. These lenses are useable on any M-cameras via a screw-to-M adaptor. Such adaptors are still available new (can check with Chiif).

which wide-angle lens is that? what does the marking on the lens say?

If you plan to sell the stuff, please get someone who knows Leica stuff to advise you on what price to sell.

If you are in doubt or need help, just let me know and I can get my sifu to advise you. Even beaten Leica can fetch pretty good price. You can always bring the stuff down to Pennisular Shopping Centre on Saturday afternoon, I'm normally there between 4pm to 6pm. And can help you to make some sense out of these jewels.

Alternatively, use them yourself. You might find immerse fun using the rangefinders.

thank in that case i need to locate his ring mount adaptor, the wide angle lense is the super angulon-R 1:3.4/21 is it suppose to use in M-series camera or R camera. But I only can fix on to the M-camera but unable to focus through the view finder.

Thanks chiif for your kind offer as i dun intend to sell them at the moment and properly just keep for sentimental vaule. 1 question which exposure meter do you recommend for older M-series camera for beginner like me.

the best meter he will recommend will most likely be the vc meter! i purchased the 1st version one from him.. its going for a song now.. check and see if stock is still available! and that 21mm lens you have there.. is worth a LOT of money.. treat with care.. you are lucky.. your father has passed such gems like this to you.. im feeling envious now

oh and that lens is probably not coupled to the rangefinder.. so you cant use the rangefinder to focus. just use guesstimation. the good thing is because the focal length is so wide.. even if youre off by a bit.. depth of field will take care of the focus for you and your subject might still be reasonably sharp.

once again thank you, so what are the general guide for using this lense.

the general guide is.. since theres so much depth of field.. just agaration the distance to your subject.. set exposure and snap.. you dont need to look at the rangefinder patch because its not coupled.. just use the 21mm viewfinder attached to the hotshoe of your leica and snap away.. if you want to use 21mm viwefinder and a meter.. get the double hot shoe adaptor from chiif as well.. it allows you to use your meter AND your viewfinder.. if you need more information on how it looks like.. just go cameraquest.com and check it out!

Mint condition lenses go for $2k at least.

err, isn't the super angulon-R a R-mount lens? are u sure its the angulon-R or the super angulon...

TS said it could mount on the M, not the R camera.

If the TS did not make a mistake with the lens marking, then it is an R-lens. The 21mm f3.4 Super Angulon-R was intended for use with the first Leicaflex and can only be used in mirror-up position. (quite useless for the subsequent R-series cameras). With a special adaptor (code: 22228), this lens can be fitted on any M- camera, just that there is no RF coupling, ie. only scale-focusing.

Optics wise, it is of the same formula as the M21/3.4 (ie. a very good symmetrical WA lens, just that metering is not available.)

The 22228 ring itself costs some USD200 on eBay. The lens is not that high value though.
