Hi,since I am a new user for Mac.I'm creating a montage for my image using iMovie and found that after I export to .mov format,I found that especially the black colour will become distorted and is not even(only black color) but quality seems to be good n sharp.

Then after burning using iDVD to full HD,it seems that the qualty of the pics will drop a lot comparing before and after burning. Is there anything that I miss in both iMovie and iDVD setting.Hoping someone can help.TQ

The image degradation is the result of multiple transcoding and compression. When you view your iMovie project on your monitor at over 1K resolution, it looks good. When you output the video as mov, the quality takes a hit especially if you use codecs like DV or cinepak. Then iDVD further down-res the MOV to just 576i.
You can retain more of the original quality of graphics and photos by exporting using Quicktime and selecting the "Animation" codec under the settings drop down menu.

TQ so much and i will try doing that.
So what is the best solution when burning?Meaning ,what type of software is good to have that hih-res mov.
