What is yr opinin for Minolta Dimage Xi?

It is slim , small and has metallic look. Not sure of its quality.

Is it true this is the model the charlie angels movie used?

No , never see them use it during the show.

Is this a good camera?

I guess all camera are good cameras. If not , they won't be selling in the market.

i think for ur budget and needs a new Canon A70 or the Ixus V3 would do very nicely.

i have 2 friends who have the Ixus V3 and it passed the usability / ease of use / fun factor tests very well!

TQ all for the advise, I have finally got myself the Minolta Dimage XT due to the size and picture quality. Tried it last weekend and quite satisfied with the pic and it'ws a breeze to carry around for sightseeing. Now it's time to learn how to use the other functions on the camera!!
