First up - I am sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

I came to Singapore just about 8 months ago. I have a bunch of Sony Analog Hi8 Camcorder tapes lying around. The cam that produced them is still with me in working order (though not sure for how long in the humid weather here). Any idea on how do I get all that content in a DVD before the tapes just get fungus? I am quite a technical person but open to a 3rd party service which can do it (without having me to break my bank;)

While on this topic, I even have my marriage tape on VHS, which too is under danger. Any idea about how to convert that (Here I don't even have the VHS player any more)?? Yeah, yeah...I AM old :-)

VHS/Hi8 tape to CD/DVD conversion service is usually available in many neighborhood photo labs like Fujifilm or Kodak. I had done mine a few 3 to 4 years back, about 30 bucks for an hour long if remember correctly. Or a quick google will lead many places in Singapore where you can do the conversion.

Cheers,
Salai
