need help for macro shots!

hey guys currently a newbie in this but mind enlightening me wats the shutter speed i should use and the apperture setting which best fits shooting macro pics? i currently use a built in flash and a 60mm macro lens body is a nikon d80 plz help me ty!

Bros,

Usually F8.0 or small apperture (F10.0 to F22.0) should be used and try to look out for the all green b/g. Please use AV mode for the shoot (speed decide by the camera).

err wat do u mean by av mode? and roughly the iso should be 100 or 200 rite and that wat shutter speed is recommended for insect photography?

Hi,

The Av mode means apperture priority (you decide the apperture, the camera decide the speed).
I’m using ISO200 to ISO400 to have higher speed.
Please also use tripod to prevent the motion bur.

AV mode is Aperture piority mode. Can set to f8 to f22 but i usually use ard f13. Yr cam will auto set yr shutter speed in this mode. You must also difuse your flash as direct flash will cause harsh shadows. Geerally, insect are quite static so as long as you can held yr setup steady enough, you should be able to get good macros. Join the macro outing and you will learn more. sometimes theory are not easy to understand. someone to guide you would be easier.
