Need help: Camera or developer issue?

Have been noticing strangely uneven under-development in my recent pics, usually occurring at the left side of the image..
The problem only happens on random shots, with the rest of the roll perfectly fine.

my suspicions are that it's either:
1) Something wrong with my shutter-curtains/high shutter speed (if i remember correctly, it usually occurs when i use the top speed of 1/1000)

or

2) Bad developer (my hc-110 has been open for around 6-7 months). There hasn't been much variation to the way I develop, so I don't think it's due to dilution/timing.

Here are some of the problem pictures:

What do u guys think is the problem? appreciate it.. ;)

Looks like shutter capping, probably to do with the tension of your shutter curtains, causing it to have a dark banding on the side. You may need to get it calibrated.

have the same problem with high speed so my guess is also due to the capping of the shutter. understand that exercising the shutter at the speed can help.

tks guys.. think i'll live with it for the time being, & send it in later on..

can't bare to be without the camera, especially during the holiday season.. :bsmilie:
