Hi
I'll like to get a Slik U6600 tripod. But I need some advice from the current users of the U6600.
The first step to set up the tripod is to spread out the 3 legs.
I noticed that for some tripod (e.g digipod, frontline, etc), you do not need to spread the legs fully for the tripod to stand.
You can spread the legs to your desired angle, and then lock it using a knob (located on the centre column).
I find this feature very useful when I borrow my friend's "FRONTLINE" tripod to the NDP preview at the National Stadium. Since the space to put the tripod is very limited, I could not spread the leg fully.
But I realised I can spread the legs to a smaller angle and lock it, such that I can put the tripod in the limited area in front of me.
Does Slik U6600 has this feature?
