thanks to a very nice CSer, i came into a possession a Busch Pressman Model D setup.. my first foray into LF...

need some help cos this is the first ever LF camera i have ever touched. the camera itself is rather beat-up with peeling leathers. i do want to give the Pressman an overall CLA and maybe to recondition the leathers. is there anyone around that does LF cameras in SG? the ones i am familiar deal with 35mm stuff... :embrass:

thanks, folks!

Sorry, I am not here to provide you with an answer...

Just want to congratulate you for your purchase here. :bsmilie:
and a big welcome to the LF group.

forget about the leather peeling stuff, as long as the shutter works, just load the film and start shooting bro.
join us for the next outing ?

Billy

I think I know where that camera came from!

Haha, don't think anyone does LF cameras specifically but we have a few local guys who DIYed their own LF cameras, new wood varnish and all. You can probably strip the leather and put on a coat of varnish on the wood underneath.

eh.... the pressman is all metal construction.

what i really need is for someone to have a look at the shutter speed mechanisms.

Ah my bad, CamX / P&G should be able to help you, had my copal 0 shutter (stuck) fixed at CamX previously.

did you go P&G at adelphi or at peninsula?

I have good experience with Peninsula P&G, no experience with Adelphi, though I agree Nick at CamX is usually very positive.
