wow great pictures! esp #7 and the last one! so many bursts captured yet they were not burned out! and there's not much smoke too.

These fireworks photos are great! I have yet to try something like this.
I'll be taking my kids to the fireworks tomorrow evening.
If you can, plese post your settings, lens, etc. It would be greatly appreciated.

may i know roughly what time the fireworks were launched and for how long? Thanks!

thanks. settings used were cloudy white balance, infinity focus, f8, bulb mode usually exposed for 4-5 seconds, and remote trigger shutter with camera on tripod.

the fireworks are launched at around 8:10pm, lasting for about 5 mins. heard there will be much more longer and fireworks on preview and ndp itself.

NE1 is National Education Show 1. there will be NE 2 and so on and so forth on the coming weekends for school children.

The Finale fireworks starts at 8.01pm. There will be NE shows for the next 3 wkends, followed by the Preview on 2nd Aug and of course the actual NDP Parade on 9 Aug.

I like #3 the most due to the colours

Thanks for the information. Googling that yielded much more results. 3 NE shows, 1 Preview and the actual parade? That's a lot of celebration. Oh well, can't have too much fireworks I guess
