I just realised that my US 350D comes with a 110v CB2LT charger that wont work with Singapore's 220v sockets. Will it be cheaper to buy a third party (saw one at eastgear for $20) or should i get a transformer? Unless an original charger can be found cheaply I dont think I would buy one.

I heard that sim lim square/tower is a good place to scout for transformers so any shops to reccommend? What is the price range i shloud expect?

TIA for any help.

i think it might be a better idea to buy an original one... however i am not too sure abt the price, perhaps in the $70 region?

wat i dislike abt transformer is that, I nearly had everyone i bought spoilt after a month or so, thus the phobia..
maybe if u really wan to buy transformer, get a better brand one? i wouldnt wanna risk my batteries.. they are not cheap too..

No opinions on the 3rd pary travel charger offered by EG ? This is the one i saw

Any suitable charger should work fine. Not necessary to buy original.
Company earn the most on accessories.

buy they one that u r confident that it will give the best performance for the $$$ paid.

some people buys canon, some will even make one themselves. however, cheap may not be the best idea.

i would choose the one that will condition my batteries and fully charge in a shortest possible time, especially if it is the lowest cost. Otherwise I will stick to original.

YMMV

Thanks for the advice :)
