Looks as good as a 7D. Pity about the compression

The compression is way too high.

what do you guys refer to re "high compression"... and what could/should he have done differently? (Sorry, also absolute beginner)

He could have (A) selected a higher bit rate when dumping out his clip. (B) taken advantage of vimeo's HD support and post in 720p or 1080p.
