Push the exposure... I find that exposing about 1/3 or 1/2 stop over will solve a lot of noise problems as you can always recover the 1/3 or 1/2 stop highlights (most of it anyway) even in JPEG...

Very interesting indeed... thanks mastermind... I really would like to get my hands on one... I like wide angle... and that would mean I finally get true 17mm again... plus a working flash exposure... not the shoot and guess on the 7D at present...

at first i looked at the 100%(?) crop in the link and thought hmm a bit smudgy. then i thought eh iso 6400 leh.

and then i opened up some old iso 800 files from my 5D. fwah, sensors have come a long way man.
