The Industar 61 LD len on the FED5B is really good! I just shoot another roll of Fuji400 (argh...why not the 100 for finer grain), collecting the print tomorrow from my same old lousy neighbourhood lab. Will post some here after a scan some sample.

Did you develop the shots from the first post from your neighbourhood lab? If yes, they're not too bad ah....stunning actually. at first I didn't understand the beauty of press 800... always wondering why people say punchy, constrasty etc.... until I used konota. then wah the colours really popped. I always though was my lens or body problem, didn't expect the printing process of neighbourhood labs to be so different  Have not tried any other so-called "pro" lab yet though.

Yes. I use neighborhood provision shop + lab... the 2 different shops both run by anties.

I just develop my 2nd test shoot for the FEB5B. You want punchy and good contrast? I can assure you my 2nd test shoot are 10x more vivid then the first test shoot :)

Lab this time... Standard photo at Tiong Bahru Plaza. Lazy to go elsewhere. Develop by 1 china looking girl. I think for the first few shoot, she accidentally leak light to the negative %$&*%@# :(

Going to borrow the Canon flatbed scanner from office to scan. Will post it here. Film I use - Fiju ISO400 negative.

My biggest problem so far with the FED5B is the parallax error (@_@)
The Industar 61 L/D len is really very goooooood!!!!

it's amazing what "old junk" can do.

i agree... but the problem with old junk is that there r no standart price guide, seller just quote the price they like. the mordern new camera's retail price are pretty much fixed but for old junker, they are not.

i have got one local guy trying to sell me his used FED3 for SG$90... a check at ebay shows that FED are actually very cheap but good russian camera because they are produce in mass quantity. some are selling as low as US$19

now i must try to convice him the price and withdrawn my bid from his FED3, but i know he is going to give me a very bad rating... :(
