Hi guys, i got a corporate project recently and the client states this:

( The Contractor shall also quote for the use of music that are not royalty free and/or copyrighted. )

What kinda music is that. Am i supposed to find a composer. If yes, any lobang and anyone knows what the charges may be like for a 15min video?

I am also looking for a VO person for this video. Since this is my first time looking for a V.O may i also know what the normal charges are in the market?

Thanks folks.

I think it means that if you are going to use music that is not original, you will have to include the royalties fee inside your quotations. To keep it short, what ever final price u give them should be final. No footnote and subscripts kind of stuff.

Corporate video of that length, VO talent charges around 500 to 600.

Music.... I think you better go check properly what your client wants. Normally for corporate videos, you use library music which cost a few hundred bucks per track. For corporate videos, you need to use a few tracks as you need to splice them up to fit to visuals. Not Royalty free, I assume to mean commercial music here... will cost you a bomb... in tens of thousands per track. I think you client means "should quote for Royalty Free.."

Original music composition ranging from 2500 to 10000, depending on complexity of arrangement and who you are getting.

Finally corporate videos shouldn't be longer than 6 minutes.... 15 minutes.... the audience will be long fast asleep by the 10 minute.

Hope it helps.

:cool:best to call your client up and talk things thru with him first so there's no misunderstanding...
