Climbed Mount K many years back before gg into the Army.. agree some training is preferable but it's definitely doable with just a decent level of fitness. Local porters running up the mountain in slippers carrying LPG tanks on their backs is still a sight I can't forget...
Yeah, the fitter you are the more you are able to enjoy the trip.. lugging along a SLR and few series of lens is no joke as I saw some fellow trekkers struggle to get up with their 1Ds series with big white lens... I salute them... I have learned and carry only one camera...
Mamypoko, when you reach Laban Rata 3500m plus. You have to decide which camera to bring up... The trek from base camp onwards need both arms as there are ropes to go up...
