Anyone care to share some tips on DIY computer monitor calibration so that PS work can be more accurate?
Thanks!

get a calibration device like

spyder
i1 display
monaco optix x-rite

u can also use adobe gamma and some other software that dun require hardware to profile your screens.

otherwise...get a test print... turn off all the lights and adjust the monitor till the colours are the same as the print image....buten again...tt'd be like profiling your whole system for just print...

cheerios

I got a free gretagmacbeth display calibrator with my 400d. Wonder how good this calibrator is?

I tried and i think its sucks. Screen colors looked worst and dull.

A friend got a Gretag Macbeth calibrator from East Gear for $89 and he's quite pleased with what it did for his monitor. That might be an optionfor you. I'm using Spyder.
