I believe that cameras for sale under the Marketplace sub-forum must show no signs of use or was not used since it left the shop to qualify as 'Mint' condition.

However, I have looked through some threads in the sub-forum. There are sellers listing the cameras they want to sell as 'Mint'. This is even though these cameras have shutter counts in the thousands.

Am I to assume that all these shots are taken in the shop? Or am I correct to assume that these posters have used the guidelines more liberally than intended? The posters cannot plead ignorance as links are inserted referring to Clubsnap guidelines.

I understand that the mods are unable to monitor every thread. However, if found, such threads should either be closed or amended.

I agree, i never saw how a mint camera could have shuttercount sometimes with 5000+ its definitely people taking the guidelines more liberally.

hmm agree too, as sometimes i see people saying ..... optical performance is "Mint" no scratches .... but "cosmetic" is raiting of 8 .... but in the ratg they will keep saying condition is "Mint" ... and i'm like ??????

Guess you have to use your own discretion when viewing the items. Some items posted were not the actual items, but pictures taken off some review websites.

Main thing to note, if you offer online, tell the seller you'll only agree on the sale "subjected to viewing". If the actual item ain't as good as it looked, you have the right to refuse the sale.
