Is that the onr of the reason why $ony didn't continue this product? Shouldn't be right, since $ony have continue with other Minolta flash. Anyway, other has copied by substitute it with LED or other method.

sony have 1 thats using LED ring... so i guess they would be dropping it.

anyway, sony have alot of stuff that might clash with minolta range, hence need to see which to sacrifice...

overall i guess the sony 1 is not bad, since it does not show a 4 point light like the minolta 1, but it would be better if they have the option to have top 1/2 & bottom 1/2 also... or divided by 8. its just a matter of led selection.

Unfortunately, this patent is not really worth keeping if KM is really not selling to Sony cos KM won't benefit anyway if it doesn't sell the patent, and will have some cash to spare by selling it. Patents cost money by maintaining it under patency.
