Haha, sorry to get you guys excited! Think it's a photoshopped teaser, but hey, we know for sure a Minolta DSLR based on the Dynax 7 is coming!

Will it be using the same Sony 6MP CCD like the D100/*rist or something new? Coupled with the AF performance of the Dynax 7..this would indeed be a killer.

Rubbing my hands in glee. Cant wait for the IS CCD.

:D :sweatsm:

I think we are pretty slow in getting news here in S'pore.

When I was in Frankfurt Airport book shops, the photography magazines are already featuring the Minolta DSLR.

A digital version of Rebel is here... heard the kit come with a WA lens and still cost the same price as A1.. Canon going to kill the competition if Minolta haven't wake up..

Stupid question: If Minolta were to come out with DSLR, are the older/current lenses compatible to use?

It would not make sense not to....... and Minolta has a reputation for giving the most bang for buck in the market...... so I'm expecting complete compatibilty with any lens that is compatible with the Dynax5/7/9 series plus onbarod image stabilization and probably a full sized CCD for the price of an entry level DLSR with 2/3 sized CCDs...... my guess that is....... and I expect somemore nifty features that are also typical of Minolta...... wait for it...... patience rewards those who wait........ kekeke......... :D

looking at the big hoo-ha by Canon users about the different lens mounts for different levels of Canon DSLR, complaints by Nikon users that Nikon's DSLR is not catching up with Canon's technology, it seems like the digital front, especially for DSLR still has some time to go. I hope when Minolta does launch its DSLR, it would sort out the problems which Canon and Nikon users are witnessing.
