Minolta Dimage Xt/Xg

Hi,
I might be getting a digicam, and among my choices are the Dimage Xt and Xg, due to its sleek construction, ultra compact size, host of features, reasonable price and decent image quality. I'm wondering if the new Xg is out, and if not, is it worth waiting for? What are the differences? I've read that several features are downgrades rather than upgrades from the Xt, is that true?
