minolta 7i 7hi for macro?????

hi, my fren intend to get a minolta 7hi or 7i.

but she intend to do a lot of macro and architecture pix. is this camera bad for its macro? since the specs wrote that the closest shot is abt 30cm! as compared to the 1-3 cm range of S602 or 5700.
pls advice.

hmm, well, the dimage 7 series allows MF in a much more 'mechanical' way.. rather than the "up/down" button on most other cameras

and dmf does help a lot too!

why don't you drop by the showroom @ Funan It Mall,#06-06 to try out the camera?they will be able to show you the hand-ons.the design of this zoom lens is good in a sense that at 28mm you can flip the macro switch.it will almost be like a 28mm prime lens.where can you find a zoom lens that lets you focus so close at 28mm?

but any owners of 7hi/7i has tried macro with their camera? the closest is how far away? and at what focal length?:dent:

yes...macro is ok provided that the insect stays still. u have to creep up on it if u intend to take macros it is best u have a flash...unless the insect is in the sun positioned nicely. check out some shots i shot wiff the 7hi....

Macros on the 7Hi is very fun, and u can just add those closeup filters to allow u to go closer!

check out some of the pics taken by other users... but seldom see 7hi users posting their pics up ;(

yea, goto minolta support ctr@funan and feel it for urself! best is u've fren who got the cam, then u can really take it out on field trip!
