Micro flash memory war - what of sportscam?

Samyang is replacing microSD with an incompatible and totally new micro flash called UFS.

Could this be the end of days of the microSD or is UFS just a flash-in-the-pan?

UFS sounds very promising. Given that the memory card wars are being fought both on the speed and capacity fronts, I'm guessing UFS' speeds would be too alluring to ignore. It may take 2-3 years for more devices to be UFS-equipped but as long as these devices are backwards compatible to accept existing SD/microSD cards, I would reckon the rate of take-up should be quite high.
