That's because Sony is his "Wife" and Nikon is his "Mistress". lolx

LOL

Nah, though I own a lot of Sony gear, my own philosophy is "right tool for the right job". If someone asks about value for money at the low end, I recommend Pentax and Sony (hard to argue against those 2 brands for entry-level bang for buck). On the high end (FF) though, it gets tricky - Maximum image quality at low ISO/good lighting/landscape/Studio level (not counting MF) goes to D3X/A900/D800, but for fast action and sports, with no real budget problems, I usually recommend D3S or 1DMkIV.

I'm actually a lot more brand agnostic than people think (though, with my A-mount CZ and G lenses, I'm very much invested into this system now), but I dislike ignorance, and just want to make sure people realize there's more than just canikon. That's why I went down the Alpha route - when I was picking a system, it offered the most bang for buck, served me well and had AF carl zeiss lenses. But I would have gone Nikon if I hadn't walked past that Juzz1 in Funan while doing my research. :P

It's good to know you are brand agnostic and goes for use the right tool for the right thing. I fully agree. I have chosen Nikon for the ergonomics and intuitiveness in the interface, at least that's for me. I also bet on the fact that Nikon does photography equipments only but Canon does a lot more. Hence I decided Nikon would be what I wanna bet on because if their business fail, it all fails, so I invested in a brand that is their bread and butter.

While it's always a race between the 2 top brands about whom comes out the right equipment with the better spec at the right timing; after awhile i becomes moot about it. However because I have decided on a specific branding, it's live and die with it unless I want to dump more money which isn't a sensible choice for me. Either case, till now, it has served me very well. Despite cons in some area, no choice but to live with it.

Important is what is delivered.

Exactly. And so far I've been very happy with what's been delivered as are the customers, and I'm happy with the ergonomics and the performance matches my needs. In the end that's all that matters.
