Anyone using this MF camera? May I know the second hand price for this camera with some lenses?

My friend may sell one mint condition set, just do some research of the price now.

The set might include body, 50mm, 80mm and 150mm (all f2.8), E12, etc.

To be frank Hasselblad have more or less stop or slow down the production of it's 200 series or F line of cameras (203fe is one of them). On some of the catalogs you can't even find them. They have also stop the production of most of the 200 series F lenes. In fact they have come up CFe lenes so the lenes can be use full function on the V line cameras (500 series) and F line cameras (200 series). On ebay the 500 series camera get better price then the 200 series. If you were to buy 200 series F lenes and use it on the 200 series cameras, you will not able to use leaf shuttler as there no shuttler building in F lenes.

The apperture priority is interesting though. I'm interested if the price is right. Just for fun if nothing else.

Wah! 'Just for fun'......too much money?.........he!he!

Thank you all. I will try to put it on sale soon.

Yes it is confirmed that Hasselblad has terminated production end of last year. Actually it is a shame that Hasselblad decided to discontinue the 200 series cameras. It signals that there will probably be no/very little digital back support for this system down the line. There goes the hope of a fully compatible back being developed. I hate those asterisk that says you cannot do this or that with a $20,000 back.

If you are a film shooter and do not care about going digital in the future, this is a good body. The 110mm FE lens is very good. Otherwise, invest in Cfe lenses which have a leaf shutter. CFe can be used across the entire V-series bodies whereas the FE lenses are useless without a 200 series body.

At the moment, Contax 645 and Mamiya 645 seems to be the best choice for digital compatibility. Can't afford medium format slide processing over the long run.

Or the hassy H1.

not sure if the contax will be viable in the long run... Zeiss has been awfully quiet for some time re: the MF system.

Really, the best bet is the Mamiya 645. At least we know there is a ZD-1 digital back on the way.

I also hear that Rollei is about to stage a come-back with a new partner (imacon?)... based on the Rollei 6008AF. It may be their best chance to leap-frog hassy.

Imacon is with hasselblad. Both comapny brought over by shiro.

I think it is PhaseOne. Rollei actually has a bundle of the 6008AF with a PhaseOne digital back.

Also:

http://www.phaseone.com/ where one can find information about the various platforms that you can fit their various backs (on Hassy V, H, Mamiya AF, Contax 645 etc.):

http://www.phaseone.com/content/p1digitalbacks/p-series.aspx and
http://www.phaseone.com/content/p1digitalbacks/h-series.aspx

Effectively, for some the digital solution for MF is in the back not in the camera, while others are making new models (tempting for upgrades - possibly a good marketting strategy?) that bandle different digital backs!

On the 645 platform, all systems have closely about the same number of lenses.

The Hassy H system (35mm, 50mm, 50~110mm, 80mm, 100mm, 120mm, 150mm, 210mm, 300mm, and 1.7x, see http://www.hasselblad.se/products/level2.asp?secId=912),

Mamiya AF (35mm, 45mm, 55, 80mm, 120mm, 150mm, 210mm, 300mm, 55-110mm, 110mm~210mm, # see: http://www.mamiya.com/cameras2.asp?id=1&id2=1728) and

Contax 645 (35mm, 45mm, 55mm, 80mm, 120mm, 140mm, 210mm, 350mm, 45~90mm 1.4x # see: http://www.kyoceraimaging.com/lenses.asp?itemnum=190000)

Both the H645 and C645 have promised lens converters to allow use of the Hassy V lenses.

Rollei has square format for digital back!

"The chip measures 36.9 mm x 36.9 mm and has a resolution of 4,080 x 4,080 pixels, each of which is 9 µm x 9 µm in size."

Thanks. So you mean the V series can use digital back lol. No matter 200 series or 500 series.

imacon and hasselblad are now married
