I was at CP yesterday and saw the latest Manfrotto tripod,190XB.
Introductory price for it now is $155.

Price is reasonably cheap. With it's new vertical to horizontal layout without removing the centre column, should be very appealing to 190 lovers.
they only got XB, not XProB... different thing altogether... only 190XproB have the vertical to horizontal thingy...
yes there is a different btw Xprob and Xb.

should be more than 055Pro price if its going to be out... or somewhere near... unless 055Pro also have the same mechanism...
The height is good enough for me.
I suppose it's according to one's preference and height. But for me i dun like extending the centre column, that's y i didn't buy it.
converted from a 055ProB to a 190XproB...
overall its alot lighter, height is ok, since add head, add camera, fully extend almost same height, just slightly bend. not like previously, fully extend, i still must tip toe...

Hopefully eugenep or vhubber can bring them in soon.
I know 190 series is lighter but it's still a bit too short for me. 055 is perfect, after fully extending, i just adjust a bit to get the desired height.
yeah would like to also know the price... and where you bought it...

not exactly on the cheap side as a 190ProB but definitely better.
its extremely easy to use. loosen the centre column grip, pull, press the button on the rear & push all the way out, and viola, horizontal... then to return, do the same.

Can, but you have to unscrew and screw back the top section of the centre column, so much so that you will be pek chek til you want to die. :bsmilie:
